Experience Labs are a series of hands-on workshops on specific topics that are experiential, participatory, image rich, and connected (EPIC). These labs are designed to give you a depth of insight and practical application to various topics.

Understanding & Utilizing Social Media is designed to be a launching pad into social media that explores the fundamentals of social media and the basics of using it to engage clients, develop leads, and gain exposure! The event begins with the exploration of the social media world and tools that it provides. Then the remaining time will be spent with on the spot Q&A, round table discussions, and hands-on work to put strategies into action!

Questions That Will Be Addressed:

  • What is social media?
  • What are the different types of social media and how does it affect me?
  • What are the differences between Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn?
  • What’s Twitter and what’s the big deal about it?
  • What is a blog and how do I set one up?
  • How can I use social media to generate leads?
  • How can social media grow my brand or communicate my message?

Event Agenda:

  • 9am – Presentation
  • 10am-12pm – Q&A, Discussion, & Hands-on Lab
  • 12pm – Networking Lunch (Lunch included)

Other Information:

  • It is recommended to bring a laptop computer with WiFi capabilities
